Tickle The Ivories

I have always used Apple computers, even when they weren’t particularly popular. However, I have never used a PC, so I am not qualified to compare that oft disputed divide! I spent a couple of hours today in Liverpool One’s swanky Apple Store, having my latest lap top configured and set up.

‘Paradise Street’ L1

I headed across the street to Starbucks for a large Americano, whilst the installation process took all the time to complete. I was intrigued to discover an upright piano in the middle of the street between the two popular shop fronts.

The ‘Rules!’

There was a sign on it saying ‘close my lid when you have finished playing me’ and ‘cover me up when it rains’ by a canopy next to the piano. It turns out that this is the L1 Piano Festival, or ‘Tickle The Ivories.’ On closer inspection, it transpires that pianos are currently stragetically positioned throughout the shopping quarter for the public at large to sit at and play, to entertain themselves and the general public. What a nice initiative.
