Liverpool versus Manchester!

Private eye has now got in on the action with regard to the recent victory scored by the RLPO over the Halle. Trading standards has told the Halle Orchestra, from Manchester, that it must change it’s tune after they were claiming to be the U.K.’s oldest orchestra. It has now been firmly established that the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is the oldest surviving professional symphony orchestra in the British Isles.
