The Consequences Of Falling – Brendan’s Latest Solo Project!

Tomorrow, Sunday 27th October, 2013, Heather Bird and myself will be continuing our concert tour, performing ‘The Consequences Of Falling’ – the major new work by International Award Winning composer, Ailis Ni Riain. For solo trumpet and acoustic double bass, the piece (well documented on here in posts going back many months!) was commissioned to celebrate the work of Delia Derbyshire, who both composed  (with Ron Grainer) and arranged the Doctor Who Theme fifty years ago.  The performance pictures are taken from our various tour venues.

The performance will commence around 2.45pm in the city of Birmingham’s multi-million pound, spanking new library complex, which opened officially last month. Heather and I will be performing for the ‘Delia Darlings’ as part of the massive new library’s mammoth Arts & Culture Festival – BRING TO LIGHT!

The celebration of Delia Derbyshire’s pioneering work is to include the performance of ‘Consequences’, a display of electronica by performance artist and prducer Caroline Churchill and a showing of the international award winning docu/film ‘The Delian Mode’ by Kara Blake, the famous Canadian Director.
