One Response to The Musician ‘Whitey’ Responds On Being Asked To Work For Free…

  1. Dr Adrian Garfoot says:

I’m a retired doctor and amateur violin player. I’m amateur because I’m not nearly good enough to play in professional situations but I do realise 100% what it takes to become a professional. The hours of sheer slog are no different. Throughout my medical training I was in a flat share with two RAM students and they really worked hard. It is perverse to think they should ‘work’ for free or even a reduced rate.
